Match Masters Boosters & Arena Strategy Guide

Boosters are the core tactical mechanic in Match Masters. Unlike basic match-3 games, selecting and charging your booster determines the victory path in high-tier PvP arenas. By collecting 7 blue stars on the game board, you charge your booster meter, allowing you to trigger game-changing powers on your next turn.

Understanding Booster Rarity & Star Costs

Boosters are grouped into Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, and Special Edition (SE) tiers. Diamond tiers like Foxy Roxy or El Magneto alter massive sections of the grid, creating cascading point multipliers that easily overwhelm opponents. Regardless of the rarity tier, you must collect 7 blue-starred blocks on the board to initiate activation.

Best Perk Combinations & Fast-Charging Synergies

Equip perks like Star Maker or Energy Boost to help charge your boosters faster. Star Maker sprinkles additional blue star tiles onto the board, helping you activate powers in single-turn bursts instead of dragging out rounds. Pairing Star Maker with a high-tier Diamond booster ensures you dominate board control from the first round.

How to Deny Opponents: Color Matching Strategy

Winning in high-tier PvP rooms requires active board denial. Pay close attention to your opponent's active booster type and color preference:

  • Analyze opponent charger colors: If they use a red-based booster, avoid matching red blocks that leave easy match-4/5 templates for their turn.
  • Prioritize blue stars: Always clear blue stars to deny their booster meter build, forcing them to waste moves on basic configurations.
  • Matchmaking levels: Keep in mind that using high-tier SE boosters pairs you with advanced competitors. Sometimes, running a standard Gold booster matches you with less experienced players, giving you an easy score advantage.
