Epic Blast

The power of matching things with similar things stretches from the bowels of reality to the realms of the divine with Epic Blast. You find yourself in Greek mythology and looking in on Zeus who seems to have a new problem in front of him. There are so many symbols crowding up the planes of Mount Olympus which can cause problems for the gods. Since he's able to wield lightning to devastating effect, he decides to clear out all these symbols himself while relying on assistance from your mind. Your puzzle might and his lightning power will work together to clear these things out.

The matching power of puzzle games has been portrayed in various ways by giving you and characters certain kinds of abilities. This game starts you off with what seems like an advantage since you have the power of Zeus on your side. However, his power is limited which is why you need to use your brain to solve the puzzle and give power to his lightning. You can't just haphazardly match things otherwise certain icons will run amok and make it impossible for you to clear them. This is why you need to think about your moves and how best to use Zeus's lightning.

How to Play

Epic Blast is a 2D puzzle game about matching symbols on Mount Olympus using only the mouse. To move symbols around, move the cursor over to one, hold down the Left Mouse Button, and then drag it to the adjacent spot that you want it. The goal is to create matches to clear the requested icons shown at the bottom of the screen. If you're unable to do it in a certain number of moves, you'll need to retry the level.

You'll start on a map screen that will show all the levels available with more of them unlocking as you complete them. When you start, you'll be shown a grid that can have varying shapes. The icons will randomly fall into place and you will need to start matching them to clear them from the board. You need a match of at least three for it to be accepted but matches of four and five will summon lightning bolts that can clear rows, columns, or all of one symbol from the board. The more matches you make, the more points you score.

Tips and Tricks

This is an auto-matching game so make matches that will cause the same icons to fall into groups and make back-to-back. You'll be able to save moves and will hopefully gain more lightning powers. Always keep the requested icons in mind and don't get distracted by the easy matches.
