Crowgue

Despite all the darkness and gloom that crows are associated with, they're pretty amazing and intelligent creatures and one has become a Crowgue. You can try and find out how by stepping into the claws of an aspiring crow treasure hunter. You are a crow with a sword who has a strong desire to collect a bunch of things and bring them to the nest. A nearby worm named Wormy tells you of a place underground full of treasure and being the ambitious crow that you are, you take a sword in your beak and decide to dive into the dark.

About Crowgue

The rogue class tends to be quite popular in RPG settings since people value speed and agility when it comes to dangerous situations. This game puts your crow into quite a dangerous situation. It's a dungeon crawler that's broken up into multiple random rooms where you never know what's going to be waiting for you. Of course, there's no reward without risk and sometimes the brightest treasures are hidden in the darkest places. That also means the greatest dangers may be hovering around them. You may be an adaptable crow, but you are still a bird and you need to be smart about your actions.

How to Play

Crowgue is a 3D adventure about a crow exploring a series of dungeons underground using the mouse and keyboard.

The goal is to collect as much treasure as you can from the depths of the dungeon and make it safely back to your nest. Your stats are shown on the left side of the screen and your backpack will hold things like items, treasures, and weapons. The map showing the current area will be displayed in the corner of the screen. If you lose all your health in the dungeon, you'll have to start over.

When you start exploring the dungeon, you'll have a list of tasks that you can complete on the left side of the screen. When you complete tasks, you'll earn experience which will improve stats like your health and stamina. You can fully explore the current dungeon floor to find all the treasures, and items, complete objectives, encounter traps, and fight enemies. When you find an exit, you'll descend to a lower level in the dungeon. Everything will be dark except the room that you're standing in.

Chests can be opened to get items that can do things like give you armor to absorb damage and new weapons that you can attach to your sword in your backpack. Depending on the weapon, you may gain an additional attack or a new effect. Items like keys can unlock certain things while certain doors and walls can be broken by force to reveal new paths.

Tips and Tricks

While your crow is decently strong, the enemies and traps can surprise you and completely drain your health. Never charge into a room, open the door or wall, and peak in to get an idea of the layout. Always have a reserve of stamina if you ever need to get away from a dangerous situation.
