It's much safer to drive cars on your computer than it is to drive them in real life and it's also far less expensive, and arguably greener. There are also no other cars to worry about except those you'll be controlling. You can speed up, slow down, crash, wipe out, and then fly off ramps and through loops if you choose. You're not aiming for a high score, trying to be the fastest, pulling off the sickest tricks, or even trying to wreck your vehicle in the most spectacular way possible. You're just driving around and appreciating the fact that there are no rules or other moving cars that you need to worry about.

How to Play

Cars Driver is a 3D driving game about driving several types of cars however you want using just the keyboard.

Controls

W/Up Arrow - Accelerate
S/Down Arrow - Slow Down/Reverse
A/Left Arrow - Turn Left
D/Right Arrow - Turn Right
Spacebar - Handbrake
Shift - Use Nitro

The goal is to drive as much as you want in the open space and see just what kind of things the cars can do. You have three cars to choose from and three different tracks to drive them on. If you ever get stuck or flipped, then just press the reset button and try again.

The game begins by giving you a choice of track to drive through either a desert, a plain, or an urban environment. Once you decide, the cars will spawn in a row in a specific part of the map. You'll have a choice between a rally car, a cop car, and an old car. You can switch between them any time during your drive, but you can only drive one at a time. The cars will always be where you last left them unless you rest the scene. Each car controls differently but has access to a Nitro Boost with the gauge shown on the right side of the screen. If you run out, just wait as Nitro will refill over time. You'll have a road as well as ramps and loops to drive through if you want.

Tips and Tricks

This is a driving playground meant for you to enjoy yourself so you should do just that. A challenge would be to see if you can find a way to race against yourself by jumping between the different cars while in motion.
