Description

In Breakout, you are handed the control of a paddle with a mission to smash all the bricks in your path. Each level brings an increased number of bricks, ramping up the game's difficulty as you advance. You begin with three lives, the depletion of which marks the end of your game. However, extra lives can be bagged by smashing blue bricks and catching the heart that descends from it.

How to Play

The game is simple to control, but demands a high level of skill. Use your mouse or arrow keys to move the paddle left and right, bouncing your ball strategically off walls and blocks to eliminate all bricks on screen. You will quickly find yourself at higher difficulty levels where faster balls and more blocks come into play. Be sure to catch the falling hearts emerging from blue bricks for bonus lives!

Tips and Tricks

Pay attention to the angle at which your ball hits the paddle, this will determine its next direction. Making use of the walls for strategic bounces can help clear tricky areas. Be ready for quicker motion as you progress trough levels and remember to target those blue bricks, they provide extra lives!
