Battle Royale

The battle royale may be heading out in the grand scheme of gaming, but it still lives strong in various flash games like the simply named Battle Royale. It's what the genre is at its core: There's a huge piece of land, maybe an island, that appears to be uninhabited. Despite this, there tend to be a variety of pristine structures that are in good condition, but they're just abandoned. This means that they can serve as quality set pieces for a battlefield for a bunch of soldiers, fighters, and other types of humans to fight it out without spilling out into the rest of the world.

About Battle Royale

There's not much to a battle royale game, you just need to plop down a bunch of folks with weapons and have them go at it. This game is exactly that and it's pretty plain about it. You get a little bit of information to fill you in and then you enter the fray. Dropping into the field will give you a lot of options for how you're going to play. Whether that means you're going to be actively seeking opponents or you prefer to play the long game, by staying hidden and picking your shots. Still, only one can walk about from this battle.

How to Play

Battle Royale is a 3D first-person shooter about a battle royale against box-like humans that is played with the mouse and keyboard.

The goal is to eliminate all the other fighters on the map. When the match starts, you'll have a few moments of downtime before you're whisked onto a plane. When you're over the island, you can choose to jump at any point to pick your landing spot. Your stats will be shown at the bottom of the screen and if your health drops to zero, you're eliminated.

Before you start the game, you can choose your character which will determine some of the gear that you can have. When you do jump from the plane, you can dive and pop your parachute to travel further through the air. To find more gear, you can check the different buildings for weapons, armor, and various items. Also, there's a blue field on the outskirts of the map that will start closing in and reducing the play space. When you're in the blue zone, you'll slowly take damage over time. To win, you must be the last one standing.

Tips and Tricks

When dropping in, try to aim for the outside parts of the area or points with lots of buildings. Not only will this provide a high chance of loot, but also coverage. However, these areas also tend to be highly contested so be prepared to fight.
